Palace of Versailles. We were debating if we had enough time to go to Versailles and after a few days in Paris we were ready to go to the quiet town of Versailles. We were so happy we decided to go. I would highly recommend this short day trip.
Palace of Versailles
King Louis XIV -He was the first king to live in Versailles
The private chapel for the King and his court
The Hall of Mirrors -For all of you historians out there which famous treaty
was signed in this room?
The Treaty of Versailles which ended WWI and some say started WWII
It has always been my dream to have a canopy bed. I think this would be perfect :)
The Palace was absolutely incredible. No wonder royalty enjoyed spending their time here away from filth and poverty in Paris
We really enjoyed the gardens. This wasn't the best time of year to visit the gardens but we still enjoyed our time.
I love all of the sculptures
We saw that you could rent golf carts and we were all excited to rent one until we found out that you had to have a drivers license. None of us brought our license so we weren't able to visit Marie Antoinette's quarters because we didn't want to walk that far.
This will be a must see next time we go to Paris.
